High quality - Excellent buy
For the last 3 years, I have been "running" on a Life Fitness 9500 HR at the Gym... The 430 isn't as heavy, but for the money, this is a GREAT buy. Excellent protective packaging. Unfortunately, someone forgot to pack the assembly instructions in the box. Panic! Not really. Go to Schwinn website and download all instructions.
Very high quality materials, smooth and stable operation. Easy and well documented assembly. Everything fits together nicely. Strong recommend.

Dont believe all the negative reviews on assembly
I read numerous reviews about how difficult assembly was and the nightmare stories of missing parts and misaligned holes, hours of frustration trying to figure out the assembly instructions, trying to contact Schwinn, etc. etc. Not in my case. Total assembly time was 1 hour. All parts were included, easy to follow directions, they even supplied all tools necessary for completion. So unless Nautilus/Schwinn changed something, assembly is a piece of cake.

Great machine for the price
The Schwinn 430 is a great elliptical for this price and even more comfortable than most ellipticals that cost twice as much. Assembly was fairly easy taking only about 1 hour and 45 minutes of my time. There are two of us in our house and we both use it every day for approximately 1/2 hour each. We are both very satisfied with it and hope we find it to be a very durable elliptical. Other people have complained about it not having a backlit display, but I don't think it is even a little bit hard to read. The only downfalls I have found is it would be nice to have a good magazine holder, and it seems to have a little more resistance than most ellipticals on its easiest setting.
